When a munitions manufacturer invested in state-of-the-art process equipment, it became clear that the existing electrical infrastructure would require upgrading. Working in partnership with the onsite electrical contractor, the site capacity was increased, along with the requirements for the main switchboard.
UEP Switchgear were engaged at an early stage and worked closely with both the client and contractor to design a solution tailored to the project’s needs. From the initial design enquiry through to detailed build progress updates and a factory inspection of the completed switchboard, UEP provided comprehensive support throughout the contract.
During the project, changes were made to the supply cabling details. UEP Switchgear were able to accommodate these revisions using their in-house copper manufacturing facility. This flexibility enabled a smoother installation process for the contractor and helped minimise additional cable and labour costs for the client.
UEP Switchgear’s assembly engineers attended site at the agreed time and carried out the reassembly of the switchboard efficiently, allowing the contractor to proceed with the installation of cabling between the switchboard and the field accessories without delay.
